AfiFest 2013 has made a selection of films for the new authors andShortsEpisodes at this year's festival (November 7-14) The festival takes place at the Athetcl Chinese Theater Complex as well as the Egyptian Theater and the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
The new section of the author shows the first and second international feature director, and the shorts are a diverse program in the world. Bei -ID sections are legal and eligible for Grand Jury Awards. This year's new author jury features Peter DeBruge (Variety), Karina Longworth (author and critic), Amy Nicholson (LA Weekly) and Betsy Sharkey (Los Angeles Times). The shorts jury shows Alejandro de Leon (producer), Kitao Sakurai (filmmaker), Jordan Vogt-Roberts (filmmaker) and Heidi Zwicker (shorts programmer).
